Bad weather and rough seas as well as strong coastal winds have caused the Vlora seaport captaincy to suspend navigation for small vessels and fishing vessels starting this Tuesday and throughout Wednesday and Thursday.
The cause was strong winds that caused large waves, making it impossible for vehicles to sail. In the meantime, the line's ferries continue to operate normally.
The announcement of the Vlora Port Authority states that: "The Vlora Port Authority has prohibited the issuance of departure permits to small sailing and fishing vessels that wish to operate within the Bay of Vlora and in the open sea, starting from 14:00 on 03.02.2026 until 05.02.2026 at 06:00".
Meanwhile, it is announced that international maritime transport ships will continue to operate normally.
"The improvement of the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation, predicted for small vessels and fishing vessels, will be after 06:00 on 05.02.2026," the announcement continues.
