Enrik Banushi has left the management of the police company "Illyrian Guard sh.a", which is 100% state-owned.
In his place, Florenc Spaho, the former director of the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center, QSUT, will take over.
The "Illyrian Guard" company is the first joint-stock company with 100% state capital, which was founded in 2019 and which provides security and physical protection services to institutions of special importance, such as state institutions and, in turn, to businesses or private enterprises.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, a few months ago, criticized the “Illyrian Guard” society, saying that it had turned into a “village orphanage” that had lost its original mission. He also called for a radical reform in the administration of seized assets and described the Police as part of the problem in the issue of illegal constructions.
