A serious event was recorded this Wednesday afternoon in Përmet, where a person lost his life in the Langarica canyon.

Sources indicate that the victim is a foreign national tourist who had gone to explore the canyon in question. The cause of his drowning was the exit from the bed of the Langaricë river as a result of the rain. The tourist is suspected to have been carried away by the flow of the river.

The police have discovered the dead foreign tourist in the place called Mulliri i Bênjes. Meanwhile, the lives of other tourists in Langarica are also at risk.

The police as well as the fire service forces of the Municipality of Përmet have gone to the scene and are working to rescue other tourists.
