Four members of Hamas, suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Europe, have been arrested by German and Dutch authorities. The news is confirmed by the federal prosecutor of Germany.

Three people were arrested in Germany and one in the Netherlands on suspicion of planning attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe, prosecutors said in a statement.

Hamas is classified by the United States, the European Union and other countries as a terrorist organization.

Regarding the event, the German Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser also reacted, who thanked the German and Dutch police authorities, stating that this "shows that our security authorities are extremely vigilant and act continuously".

"The protection of Jews is our top priority. We use all constitutional means against those who threaten the lives of Jews and the existence of the State of Israel," said Faeser, among other things.
