Activist Dritan Goxhaj spoke to the media after being released from the police station where he had been detained since noon today, emphasizing that none of the boys were detained, but were only questioned on suspicion of opposing State Police officers.
To the media, Goxhaj denied that he or the other protesters were raped, and even praised the structures of the Police Station where he was accompanied, saying that they gave them water, telephones to notify their families, and allowed them to meet.
"No violence was used during the police escort, but only there in front of the parliament was there violence, at the moment they were escorted, to tell the truth and be honest.
"There is no other harm here from the escorts. We protest to tell the truth, but there was no other violence," he said.
Dritan Goxhaj explained that none of the escorted people have been detained and those who have not yet been released are expected to be released later because they are in the final procedures.
"The other escorts are in the final procedures. There is no proceeding, there is only a suspicion of investigation for opposing the police officer, there is no charge. There is no detention, but there is escorting."
"One of the boys who was there when the police used the spray got some spray in his eyes, his glasses fell off and he suffered minor injuries," the activist continued.
He said that in the cell, the protesters visited MPs Agron Shehaj, Erald Kapri, Klevis Balliu and others, while they refused to meet with the People's Advocate Endrit Shabani.
"We refused to meet with the People's Advocate Endri Shabani and demanded his immediate removal from our cell," said Dritan Goxhaj.
