Other details have emerged from the shocking incident three days ago in Tepelena, where Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi was killed.

Behind this serious event where a hunting trip ended in tragedy lies a completely banal motive.

48-year-old Kamber Sulçaj from Mesapiku, Vlora, was driving on the same road as the businessman, who, together with his friends, was returning from hunting.

The high beams of the Italian's Land Rover caused concern among the author Kamber Suçaj, which led to a conflict between them that escalated into insults between the parties.

After this moment, the 48-year-old tracked the businessman's car. He ambushed them in the area known as Qafa e Dilanit and opened fire on the vehicles.

The passengers managed to abandon their vehicles and jump into the canal to escape the bullets, but the businessman remained trapped in the barrage for about 40 minutes, unable to move. A ricocheting bullet was enough to take his life.

The 48-year-old, who is wanted, turns out to be a shareholder in a quarry in Brataj, Selenica, Vlora, called 'Stone Quramenga'.

He is a 25% shareholder in this quarry, along with his father Delo Sulçaj who has 20% of the shares and his brother Akil alias Ermal Sulçaj with 15% of the shares, as well as two other people.

Kamber Sulçaj also owns a cattle farm.

In May 2021, Kamber Sulçaj's other brother, Gazmendi, was arrested in Vlora, along with their cousin Roel Sulçaj. The two were caught with 2,632 cannabis seeds that they were going to sell for the purpose of cultivation.
