Gjirokastra police have announced a search for 48-year-old Kamber Sulçe, as the suspected perpetrator of the murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi in the Salaria area, in Tepelena.

According to investigations, the attack occurred after a conflict over weak motives between Kamber Sulçe and Sarch, as well as his companions.

Sulçe is suspected of having fired a shotgun at them and their vehicles, killing the Italian businessman.

The vehicles of the victim and his companions, as well as 2 shotguns, were seized from the scene. During searches in a deep mountainous area between the villages of Nivicë and Bolënë, the police found the vehicle and clothing allegedly used by the perpetrator hidden, while infrared binoculars, thermal binoculars, a gun holster and a flashlight were seized in a bag thrown in the bushes.

Further checks at the 48-year-old's apartment and that of his family in Mesaplik, Vlora, revealed around 2.5 million lek (in lek and euros), 3 shotguns with live ammunition, 450 suspected cannabis seeds, and 2 safes.

The Gjirokastra Police, in cooperation with the Vlora Police and the Criminal Police Department, continue intensive work to capture the wanted person.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance for further action.
