Two years after her repatriation from Syria, Floresha Rasha has decided to speak and cooperate with Albanian justice. Her testimony is considered a key point for SPAK's investigations, to reveal how Albanians are recruited and sent to Syria, where they join ISIS fighters.
Journalist Klodiana Lala has managed to clarify for News24 the testimony of Floresha Rasha, the widow of Lavdërim Muhaxheri, known as the "Butcher of Kaçanik", where the mother of 3 children has narrated the dramas experienced by her and other Albanian families. After staying for almost 2 years in a center in Durrës, Floresha and her 3 minor children were transferred to a secret base during the months of July, while they were interrogated by the Anti-Terrorist Agents.
The woman told SPAK how she had fled to Syria.
"6 months after Diamanti went to Syria, he begged me to go there with the children too. I was convinced by Genc Balla, the self-proclaimed imam of the new Ring Mosque. (stays in prison". I traveled from Prishtina with my two children, my wife and my young son. 6 months after I went there, my first son was killed, with whom I had a daughter and a son. Then I decided to marry again, with Kudos to Muhajherin, (known as one of the main terrorists). After 3 years of marriage I brought 2 children, one of whom passed away and the daughter survived. Muhajherin was killed by an airstrike. I was forced to marry a fighter in Syria of origin from Iran. I gave birth to a child. Many Albanians came to the camp. We used to go near the ISIS camp and get there 50 dollars per person and with that money we survived. When the last battle happened when we were going to be transferred to the Al-Hol camp,Floresha Rasha is said to have expressed.
She said that many children and other Albanian citizens have been killed in Syria. Since she had a marriage with Lavdërim Muhaxhri, it is considered a key testimony and evidence for the Albanian prosecution, as it had the names of all the Albanians who were there.
Floresha Rasha also confessed about the role of women in the Syrian camps, as did Alrmira Kastrati, the daughter-in-law of Genc Balla, the self-proclaimed imam.
Kastrati had a key role in convincing Albanians, Albanian women and girls to stay in the camps there and not to return to our country. Journalist Klodiana Lala said that referring to trusted sources, Rasha has spoken with concrete names, helping the investigations on this issue.
