Denion Mejdani, son of former President Rexhep Mejdani

Denion Mejdani, the son of former President Rexhep Mejdani, has returned to public office. Mejdani is appointed director of the Center for the Rehabilitation of Returnees from Terrorist Activities and Violent Extremism. The media learn that the appointment of Denion Mejdani was made by Minister Bledi Çuçi.

During the SP-PD government, Mejdani also held the post of ICS director of prisons when Gazmend Bardhi was Minister of Justice.

The center which rehabilitates returnees from terrorist camps until a few days ago was run by Ledi Dervishi. Currently, this center, which was established under the auspices of Prime Minister Rama, has passed under the auspices of Interior Minister Bledi Çuçi.

The son of the former President of the Republic, is remembered for his strong statements to the head of government, about "Albania full of cannabis" or "Migjenian poverty". Denion Meidani has been very active with reactions in the first governing term of Rama.
