The Board of the Energy Regulatory Entity has decided at today's meeting to cancel the increase in the price of electricity by 42 ALL/kWh for consumption over 800 kWh/month for household customers, postponing its application from November 1 to December 31 .

"KESH's price for OSHEE will not change. The price of energy will continue to be unchanged. ERE has made the decision on the legislation", said the head of the board, Petrit Ahmeti.

On September 23, the ERE Board approved the increase in the price of electricity for this band, but a few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama postponed the increase in the price of energy by one month and it will start from November.

During the meeting, the Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, stated that the Government has not shown any argument why the price of energy should be increased.

"The board did not listen to my proposals where I asked you not to increase the price of energy. I requested the revocation of the decision. There is no argument to increase the price of energy. There is no argument that the government has shown us. I have asked you to preserve the constitutional function. I felt bad when the minister came out and violated the powers that the law gives you. The government cannot say that the decision of the ERE comes into force. It does not justify it even from an economic point of view. This Board must show the powers legal. The government cannot usurp your decisions. You must make decisions related to the public interest." - said Tabaku.
