Majlinda Taga, the wife of the Italian businessman who was killed three days ago in the village of Salari, Tepelena, has stated that Edoardo Sarchi and Gazmend Braçi had a very strong friendly relationship and were like brothers.

Her reaction comes after some media outlets and former Prime Minister Sali Berisha alluded in the early moments of the incident that the 44-year-old businessman had been killed by the son of Gramoz Ruçi's nephew, with whom he was hunting.

"They tarnished his image, destroyed us, killed us for the hundredth time. A man like Edoardo is not born a second time, anyone who knows him knows that," Sarch's wife told Report TV.

According to Taga, Edoardo and Gazmendi were like brothers and for two years since Braçi opened the guesthouse in Salari, they had been weekly visitors. The widow of the Italian businessman said it was very difficult to believe that Edoardo was killed on the streets they were walking on with their children.

"He had Gazmend Braçi as his own brother, he loved him like a brother. He had even learned Albanian and used to say to him, "Death to you". For 2 years now, since Gazmend Braçi's guesthouse was built in Salari, where we all stay as a family, we go every weekend with friends, with comrades, with children. It is difficult for me to think that on those streets where we have passed with our children, they killed Edoardo", she confesses.

The woman from Fushë Kruja, who was married to a 44-year-old Italian man and had children, had never encountered the perpetrator of the murder, Kamber Sulçaj, on the street, but when they asked the residents of the area after the incident, they told them what kind of character he was.

"We asked residents of the area about the suspect, and they told us that he is problematic, mentally ill. Other people in the area who have encountered him have also spoken out," she tells Report TV.

"At first, only Gazmend Braçi confronted him, where he started a debate that he initially did not appreciate would reach the point of using a weapon, about the high beams of the car. He did not pay attention, the drunkard said. Then Sarchi also went."

Majlinda Taga also indicated that at the moment the police were called for help, gunshots from the suspect could still be heard.
