Shortly after midnight in the capital, the chairman of the "Tirana Association", Arben Tafaj, passed away. He passed away at the age of 63, while the police say that Tafaj fell from a height from his apartment on Rruga e Dajti.

"On 03.12.2024, around 00:40, on Rrugë e Dajti, it is suspected that, being in a drunken state, he accidentally fell from a height of about 10 meters, in his apartment, citizen AT, 63 years old. As a result of the injuries received, this citizen died in the hospital", the blue uniforms explain.

In Arben Tafajt's profile on social networks, the family members have published a notice confirming his death.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the politician, the leader, the example of citizenship, the exemplary father and brother, the President of the Tirana Association, Mr. Arben Tafaj! Thus, the former deputy of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, also reacted to the death of Tafaj.

"With deep sadness, I heard the news about the premature death of our friend, citizen, collaborator and tireless activist for our Tirana, Mr. Arben Tafaj. Arben Tafaj did so much for the city, he contributed to the best values ​​that we all aspire to and fight for," Kelliçi writes in a post on Facebook.

He further states that Arben Tafaj, as the chairman of the "Tirana Association", worked tirelessly to preserve the heritage, the spirit of the city and the authenticity of Tirana.

"As a member of the Tirana City Council, he was a tireless representative of the citizens and an open door for anyone who had a concern. Without Arbeni, Tirana is today poorer, with a reference that we will all miss", says Kelliçi.
