The US Embassy in Tirana has distributed President Donald Trump's message for the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

In this message, President Trump emphasizes that Ramadan is a period of spiritual reflection, prayer, and strengthening bonds within family and community.

The US embassy's reaction:

Today, I extend my warmest greetings to all those celebrating Ramadan. This month is an opportunity to dedicate ourselves to spiritual renewal, meditation, and remembrance of the many blessings that God has bestowed.

This holy period emphasizes the importance of prayer and fasting, and also strengthens bonds between family members and the community.

Freedom to worship is one of the most important values we prioritize as a nation and is a pillar of our strength.

My administration is committed to ensuring that every citizen can practice their faith without fear and with pride. At this sacred time, my prayers go out for happiness and peace for all, as well as a year filled with blessings .
