Altin Dumani, the head of SPAK, in an interview for RTSH in the show '3D by Alban Dudushi', announced that he is not impressed by the politicians' attacks on him and work.
He underlined that the workload he has at work makes it almost impossible to follow the political statements against him and the work he does.
"It is the first time I have heard the statements. I have information because close staff informs me. But myself, due to the limited time I have available, as it is full of work, I don't have time to deal with you. We are attentive to the denunciations of suspected corruption affairs by anyone who makes them. I don't have time to follow the rest with voice and image. I have an indifferent attitude towards such statements. Every day of my life since I stepped foot in the prosecutor's office, I take care to follow the law. I don't like to comment on political attacks. I am very cold towards these political statements. It is my choice to ignore you" , said Dumani.
Dumani has also responded to the accusations, according to which SPAK acted on the basis of a political agenda, and that there is a schedule in the investigation of sensitive issues of persons with a high political profile.
"I had a part of the files in the investigation even without taking the direction of SPAK. One of the promises I made in KLP was that I would continue to investigate the issues I had in the investigation. There are other issues that have led to the expansion of the investigative team. All prosecutors and staff have input. Regardless of the accusations, we have given evidence that we have no political agenda, or a plan that today we will investigate a person from this political entity, and tomorrow someone from another political entity. We deal with the evidence. We have done this and we will do it. SPAK is independent from politics and this is given to it by the Constitution and the law. Prosecutors exercise their functions removed from politics. My reactions are institutional and not emotional. I have powers, but they are reduced in relation to the prosecutors of the cases ", said Dumani.
