A tragic accident in Basel, Switzerland has claimed the life of a Young Albanian from North Macedonia.

The 11-year-old Albanian, a fourth grader, was hit by a truck.

This case has shocked the Albanian community in the canton of Basel and the whole of Switzerland.

Elior, had his last day in 4th grade.

Her sister had seen the incident and ran to her mother to tell her that Elliori was under the truck.

"The last time I saw Elior was on Thursday night," recalled Ardian D, the 11-year-old's father, adding " I said good night."

The next morning his son was still asleep when Eddian went to work as a maintenance planner.

"He had his last day of school as a fourth grader," Ardian D says, adding, "It's terrible what happened next."

Eliri's sister goes to the same school as her brother. Just before midday she was walking less than 20ft behind Elior, who reportedly had a scooter with him, when the tragic accident happened.
