The Ministry of Defense has taken stock of the fire situation in the country, noting that as of 8:00 PM, 27 fires have been registered in the territory of Albania, of which 8 remain active and 4 are under monitoring.

487 operational forces and 30 firefighting vehicles have been engaged in extinguishing operations.

100 Armed Forces personnel, 2 firefighting vehicles, 3 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft have also been deployed in support.

"The main active foci remain in Dajt, Gurë-Lurë, Qafë Helmes, Bruç, Lufaj, Fushë-Lajë and Rrjoll. In Dajt, the intervention continues with 50 AF personnel and 2 helicopters, while there is no risk to residential areas. In Gurë-Lurë, a broad engagement has continued with municipal forces, MZSH, police, ADZM, volunteers and 50 AF personnel, supported by 2 Air Tractor aircraft. The open corridors on the ground have prevented the flames from approaching homes and currently there is no risk reported for residential areas," the announcement states.

"In Lufaj, Mirditë, work has continued with field forces and 1 AF helicopter, while the fire in Tharri has been brought under control. In Zhejë, Kurbin, the fire has been completely extinguished after the intervention of the MZSH, municipal forces, police and an AF helicopter. In Fushë-Lajë, Pukë, the fire remains active, but with low intensity and without danger to residential areas, while in Rrjoll the situation is being closely monitored, including with a drone," the announcement continues.
