Traffic in the Krraba Tunnel will be restricted during night hours for a maximum period of 20 days, due to planned works to clean the tunnel walls and equipment.

The Albanian Road Authority announced that the works will begin on Wednesday, October 7, and will take place every night from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

During this schedule, the tunnel will operate with only one tube, with vehicle traffic moving in both directions.

According to the Albanian Road Transport Authority, works will begin on the Elbasan-Tirana pipeline, while the Tirana-Elbasan pipeline will be used for vehicle traffic in both directions.

During the day, from 06:00 to 21:00, traffic will continue normally, with both tubes in operation.

The Authority announced that during the restrictions, the Traffic Police will also be present, in order to guarantee safety and manage traffic.

The ARA asked drivers to be careful when passing through the tunnel and to respect road signs and Traffic Police instructions throughout the work period.
