Sali Berisha has announced through a post on his Facebook page that the Democratic Party will hold a national protest.

"Friends, I invite you to mobilize, to engage in the most powerful national protest the country has ever known on the day of the discussion in parliament of the territorial reform," Berisha wrote on Facebook.

The DP has come out against the new territorial division, stating that not only should 15 municipalities not be merged, as is the Socialists' plan, but the number of municipalities should be increased to 100.
