Diplomatic sources from the European Commission confirmed to Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu that October 13 is being discussed, when the next intergovernmental meeting between the EU Presidency and Albania is expected to be held.
"We expect to have another 'Super Tuesday' on October 13, where Albania will close another chapter. While Montenegro will be facing the closing of three chapters," the same source claimed.
Top Channel has learned that it is Chapter 20, which relates to Business and Industrial Policies.
Albania has so far provisionally closed the first three chapters of the European Union accession negotiations on July 14, 2026.
They are: Chapter 25: Science and Research, Chapter 26: Education and Culture, and Chapter 30: Foreign Relations.
