It is now official, the soccer match between Bologna and Milan, which was scheduled to be played this Saturday at 18:00 at the Dall'Ara stadium, has been postponed for an indefinite date.

Everything has come as a result of the bad weather that has engulfed the area, which has caused major floods and an orange alert for residents.

The two clubs did not even accept the idea of the match being played on a neutral field, as the final decision was made by the mayor of Lapore.

"At the moment, with the calendar in hand, the month in which the game can be recovered is February, based on the commitments in the Italian Cup and the European Cups. In theory, there would be Christmas, but now we will try to understand with the teams if there are spaces even earlier, but at the moment there doesn't seem to be any," said the president of Serie A.

While the mayor of Bologna justified his decision through a post on social networks where he wrote that "We have decided that the match Bologna-Milan will not be played. I wanted to make this decision precisely because at this time we must devote all the energies of the city and many law enforcement operators to dealing with what the flood has caused. Furthermore, Bologna's stadium is located within the most affected area," he wrote.
