The Carrera GT represents to date one of the fastest, most expensive and most sought after models ever produced by Porsche. Manufactured in the early 2000s in just 1270 units, the Zuffenhausen super sports car also boasts an unexpected name among its fans: Michael Schumacher.

The German driver, the Formula 1 legend, is suspected of buying a Carrera GT in 2004, when he was part of the Ferrari team and dominated all the tracks around the world at the helm of the "redhead".

The operation was carried out in complete secrecy, so as not to reveal that the 7-time German world champion had bought a supercar that was not among those produced in Maranello. To discover this background, the auction house "Elferspot" has thought, which has put up for sale the car in question.

The passion for ultra-high performance cars often burns uncontrollably, to the point that it forgets contractual obligations and image issues. We are in 2004, in the era of maximum grandeur of the "Ferrari-Schumacher" duo. At the wheel of that year’s single-seater car, the F2004, the German pilot would win 13 grand prizes, leaving only the crumbs for his rivals.

It was time to say Schumacher and mean Ferrari and vice versa. However, even in the most solid relationships you can be fascinated by something external. Which, in the case of the German, was the Porsche Carrera GT.

According to what was reported by the auction house "Elferspot", the German legend had decided to buy a supercar from Zuffenhausen, but without being able to do so directly, as the connection with Ferrari allowed him to drive only sports cars of this market. known.

Thus, Schumacher would have sought help from his longtime manager, Willi Weber, who bought the car in his place. Since then, Michael would have been very careful never to be seen behind the wheel of the Carrera GT (which remained in his hands until 2008), so much so that this story had remained unknown to this day.

Elferspot, which has put the car up for sale, assures that it is able to prove that the car actually belonged to the 7-time world champion and that all documents are available to interested customers. Schumacher's "Carrera GT" is a black specimen with black edges and red details.

The interior is black with gray inserts, with exposed parts of carbon fiber. On the dashboard, as well as on the back of the car, is the "MS" logo used by Schumacher throughout his career. Currently, the car has traveled a little more than 14 thousand km.

With a center-mounted 5.7-liter V10 engine, the Carrera GT has 612 horsepower and 590 Nm of torque. From 0 to 100 km / h it accelerates in 3.9 seconds and is able to reach 330 km / h.

The auction house "Elferspot" has not yet announced the initial asking price for Michael Schumacher "Porsche", but the units in stock, in recent years have been sold for more than 2 million euros. The sales figure will probably also be influenced by the fame of the former owner of the super car in question.
