Raphael Dias Belloli, otherwise known as Raphinha, is one of Barcelona's new acquisitions in this summer's market.
The Brazilian has adapted very well to the new team and has taken his place in the starting line-up, playing as a winger.
But, to get to this point, Raphinha has suffered a lot, as he says in an interview for UOL Esporte.
"After training, when I was 12-14 years old, I would stop on the street and ask people to buy me something to eat. I had to wait for the bus and it would be many hours before I got home. I was very hungry and that's why I begged", the 25-year-old confesses.
Furthermore, he also says that in adolescence he risked taking the wrong path: "In the neighborhood where I grew up, I had the opportunity to earn money very easily. If you start down that road, there's no going back. I have lost many friends to the world of crime and drug dealing. I'm talking about boys who were much better than me in football, who could play for big teams today".
