Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has issued strong statements towards Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal after his team qualified for the Champions League semi-finals.
The Argentine coach said that the Barcelona striker is a good player, but added that he cannot be afraid of a teenager, while he has faced players like Cristiano Ronaldo, who has often eliminated him with his goals.
"He's a good boy with a lot of talent. He asked for a one-on-one and scored after 3 minutes of play. The media wants to crown him the king of Europe. The press wants me to be afraid of a teenager, just because he gives bold interviews. For a decade I had to stand on the sidelines and watch Cristiano Ronaldo score a hat-trick (when he played for Juve), to eliminate my team.
"Lamine played a beautiful game, but the reality is that we will go to the semi-finals and he will go home to watch us on TV. There is a big difference between playing a good game and being a nightmare," Simeone said.
