The Serbian football team arrives in Tirana today for Saturday's (June 7, 20:45) match against Albania. As part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, our national team will face Serbia in a duel that has been described as 'high risk' by UEFA.
The national team led by Dragan Stojkovic arrives in Tirana this Friday, and will be accommodated in one of the hotels near the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium. Since their arrival in Rinas, all Serbian staff will be accompanied under strict security measures, to avoid any problems.
The Serbian team will also have its own security staff, while the chef will not be missing either. Like many teams in the world, Serbia will travel to Tirana with its own chef. More than distrusting the food cooked in the hotel where they will stay, the Serbs want to get the calories and the right diet before a match that is decisive for the second place in Group K, which will likely be discussed between Albania and Serbia until the end of these qualifiers.
On Thursday, the State Police announced the strict measures that will be taken for this challenge, while there will be detailed checks for fans entering the stadium. Approximately 2,000 officers will be on the ground, and the roads near the "National Arena" will be blocked.
