Feast of Naples

Bayern Munich, as it has done in the last 18 seasons, this time also started the Champions League edition with victory.

The Bavarians beat Inter with a clean score of 2-0 in the Group C match played at the San Siro. The goals of the match were scored by Sane in the first half and D'Ambrosio's own goal in the second. Bayern dominated throughout the match, while Inter were without courage.

In the other match of this group, Barcelona destroyed Viktoria Plzen 5-1, at Camp Nou, with Robert Lewandowski scoring 3 goals.

Meanwhile, Napoli caused the surprise of the evening, embarrassing the European runners-up, Liverpool, 4-1. Two goals from Zielinski, one from Anguissa and one from Simeone, in the first 50 minutes, dashed the hopes of Klopp's side, who only found the back of the net through Luis Diaz.

In other matches, Ajax convincingly won 4-0 against Rangers; Sporting Lisbon defeated Eintracht Frankfurt in the transfer with the result 3-0; Club Brugge won 1-0 against Bayer Leverkusen; Tottenham defeated Marseille 2-0, while Atletico Madrid won 2-1 against Porto.
