Prime Minister Edi Rama has emphasized that measures that restrict freedom can only be challenged in court.

Rama underlines that respecting the independence of the judiciary does not exclude raising principled concerns about the way its bodies function, highlighting in particular the exposure of a highly sensitive institution and the publication of data from the investigative file on social networks.

"Any measure restricting freedom by the prosecution, for anyone who does not have parliamentary immunity, is opposed only in court and not by opinion or even in the Prime Minister's rostrum.

Respect for the independence of the judiciary does not mean silence even when a principled concern arises during the activities of its bodies.

In this case, in addition to and beyond the individual criminal case, there is another principled, state fact that cannot be overlooked as if it did not happen.

During the taking of the measure and the judicial administration of the file, an institution with particular sensitivity was exposed to the potential for great damage, which could and should have been completely prevented.

"The data from the investigative file was flooding social channels before the court ordered a restriction on their publication."
