The meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party, attended by Prime Minister Rama and Belinda Balluku, has ended. The meeting lasted only 30 minutes.
The meeting was expected to be mainly of an organizational nature. It is also expected to determine the date for the Socialist Party Assembly.
This meeting comes after the expanded meeting of the SP Group held a few days ago and after strong changes in the government.
With the latest changes, the Prime Minister dismissed Belinda Balluku from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
Balluku is under investigation for corruption and SPAK has requested her arrest, while the Mandates Council has not yet made a decision on her immunity.
The opposition has continuously demanded the lifting of Balluk's immunity and on Monday submitted the report to the Assembly of the members of the Mandates Council, so that the former Deputy Prime Minister can face justice as an ordinary citizen.
