The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Albania, Gazment Bardhi, has announced that today the report issued by the Mandates Council for granting authorization for the arrest of MP Belinda Balluku will be submitted to the Assembly.
Through a statement, Bardhi announced that the DP Parliamentary Group is in favor of the request of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) to lift the MP's immunity.
"Together with my colleagues from the DP Parliamentary Group, today we will submit to the Assembly the Report of the Mandates Council for granting SPAK authorization for the arrest of MP Belinda Balluku. We are in favor of SPAK's request. In favor of justice. In favor of equality before the law. At 2:00 PM, at a press conference, we will present the Report and explain the full details of why the prosecution's request should be supported and the way should be opened for the arrest of Belinda Balluku," writes Bardhi.
