In his speech from the podium, the leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, reiterated our country's support for the coordinated operation between the United States and Israel against Iran.
"The Albanian government has made clear Albania's support for the intervention of the US and Israel in a preemptive attack on Iran and also, Prime Minister Edi Rama, has expressed Albania's full solidarity with the countries in the Persian Gulf that have become targets of the regime in the process of destruction in Iran. The Prime Minister spoke today with the president of the United Arab Emirates. He also expressed solidarity with the brotherly peoples of Qatar, the Emirates, and Bahrain. There have also been attacks in Cyprus, we welcome your proposal to have a position as an Assembly."
Further, calling him "the last ayatollah in Europe," he condemned the actions of the Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, and his supporters in the February 28 protest.
"While the US and Israel were hitting targets in Iran, the last ayatollah in Europe, Sali Berisha, was ordering you and those who came after you to attack the buildings. Only Sali was inside that building, we never even dreamed of entering that building. The only one who warmed himself by the roaring fire of the former dictator's family is your ayatollah ," declared Balla, addressing the opposition.
"There is no place in the world where violent protests are led by a political party! " he said.
