The spokeswoman of the Refounded Democratic Party, Floriana Garo, has reacted to the debate and accusations about the construction of the 65-storey "Tirana Mountain" tower.

Garo accuses the media of being a fine and threatens to sue them in court for defamation, because according to her, the businessman behind the construction of the tower, Ilir Shtufi, did not finance Sali Berisha's "Foltore".

She further says in her reaction that Sali Berisha and DP have been and remain against the construction of the towers, and that Berisha has not kept silent about their construction.

It is worth noting that in the media it is reported that Ilir Shtufi has close ties with Shkëlzen Berisha, who for several years now lives with a symbolic rent of 2 thousand euros, in the superluxious villa in the "Rolling Hills" complex.
Shkëlzen Berisha reacted by saying that he has no knowledge of any kind of business that the owner of his villa, whose rent is paid by Armina Mevlani.

The full reaction of Floriana Garo:

In the mountain of fine-print media slander and other government-controlled tenders, these days it has been repeated without fact, document, or proof that the owner of the Tower Mount of Tirana was the financier of Foltore and bought the silence of the Democratic Party and Sali Berisha.

In this regard, the Democratic Party's spokesperson declares:

1- The builder of the Mount of Tirana Tower, businessman Ilir Shtufi has never given and never asked for even a penny for the financing of Foltore. Those who are paid for the fine with fiction as part of clan war within the SP will have the opportunity to "prove" their defamation in court.

The Democratic Party and Sali Berisha have been and are categorical against the construction of skyscrabbles, towers in the city.

2. Sali Berisha and the ruling DP have not granted any permits and have not allowed any tower to be built in Tirana or any other city in the country and have pledged that tomorrow in power they will take the same stance.

The paid slanders, stripped of all morality, know well that the Tirana Urban Plan approved and signed in 2013 by Sali Berisha, has planned throughout the territory of the Municipality of Tirana only 6-8 floors and none higher than that.

3. It is a defamation and a low fiction claim that the DP and Berisha have been silent about the towers while in the most repeatedly expressed against their construction and denounced them hundreds of times as ugly monuments to corruption and drugs, as monsters that take the breath of the city and significantly worsen the living environment of citizens.

The same for Mount Tirana was publicly requested by Edi Rama the immediate cancellation of his permit and addressed to the court!
