After the end of the government meeting, Ervin Demo, Minister of Local Government, emphasized that the process of approving priority areas for municipalities is continuing.
Demo said that the " Mountain Package " has increased the interest of applicants throughout the territory, while 4 other municipalities have approved priority areas.
"Today we continued with the approval of the priority areas of the municipalities. There are 4 more municipalities that have approved the priority areas and we are now going to the number of 40 municipalities. Interest in the Mountains package has increased. A good part of the municipalities will approve with the approval of the municipal council. What we find is that the municipalities themselves are noticing an increased interest of residents and Albanians who have strong ties to certain places. With the approval of the last 4 municipalities, we will continue at a fast pace", said Demo.
Blendi Gonxhja, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, presented the decision to increase rewards for athletes.
"Two decisions that are proposed and come to the government with the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports. The first is the increase in the remuneration for rope athletes and their coaches. It will take effect from April 2026. The remuneration support for non-Olympic sports increases by 75%. It increases by 25% for coaches of elite athletes, the daily food allowance for elite athletes increases. We offer greater support, we guarantee a fairer stage to have a trial and to motivate athletes to achieve high records," said Gonxhe.
