SP MP Vullnet Sinaj has gone against Edi Rama's order, as he has requested from the Central Election Commission, through an official letter, the video footage of the vote counting for the Municipality of Vlora and Himara in the parliamentary elections of May 11.

Sinaj emphasizes that he has an interest in transparently verifying every detail of the count.

He clarifies that the footage will be used for verification purposes only and promises that any information received will be handled according to the law.

With this move, Sinaj openly shows a different stance from the official line of the Socialists and Edi Rama himself, who forbade his candidates from requesting video footage of the vote counting.

In the parliamentary elections of May 11, Vullnet Sinaj was the second most voted SP candidate in the Vlora District with 10,941 preferential votes, while only Damian Gjiknuri stood above him with 12,408 votes.

During the campaign, there was talk of a clash between Damian Gjiknuri and Vullnet Sinaj in Vlora over preferential votes.

Apparently, Sinaj already suspects that Gjiknuri may have stolen his votes during the counting.
