The political leader of the SP for the Tirana Region, Erion Veliaj, has commented on the possible Berisha-Meta alliance in the upcoming local elections.

Speaking before the Socialists, Veliaj said that the SP has shown that it can beat Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta together, separately.

"There are many people who ask: Who will run against us next spring? But does that matter? People say Ilir Meta is not running? I answer: Ishalla! We know he's not one of those men who keeps his word, but I say ishalla running! We defeated both Illyrians and Sali; we defeated them separately, we defeated them both together, so we do not care at all! We are blown away by the fact that we do our calculations, therefore in this period we will regenerate our party ", said Veliaj during the meeting with the socialists of Unit 3.

He also commented on Berisha's return to the helm of the Democratic Party, considering this bad news for the Democrats but also for Albania.

"It is important that even the young people who will vote for the first time know the history, to know who took the Albanians by the neck with the pyramids and why Saliu's return, in fact, is bad news for Albania and the opposition. "It may be good news temporarily for us, but it is not healthy for the country, when non-women lead the opposition," he said.
