Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted with a message on the social network Facebook, honoring Captain Arben Anamali , who lost his life during a heroic action to rescue two tourists in Lake Shkodra.

"Rest in peace, martyr of the homeland," the Prime Minister wrote in his post, describing the captain as a hero of the Republic, who sacrificed himself to save the lives of others.

Arben Anamali was the captain of the Shkodra Municipality tourist boat and intervened without hesitation to help two tourists who were in danger of drowning in the waters of the lake.

He managed to save them, but unfortunately lost his life during the rescue mission.

" Unforgettable, Captain Arben ," the Prime Minister's post concludes, offering condolences to the family and all citizens for this grave loss.
