The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , has announced the start of protests with the opening of the new parliamentary session in September.
In a statement to the media, Berisha stressed that the protest is the only way out in the face of what he describes as "drug lords", with the aim of restoring free voting for Albanian citizens.
"The protests are overdue. Albanians have only one path, that of protests and confrontation with the narco-state to win a free vote. Without a doubt, we will start protests, there is no other path," said the former prime minister.
Berisha's warning comes at a time when the opposition is preparing to organize its political action after the end of the summer holidays.
