Former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji has responded to Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, who stated yesterday that the meeting in Durrës was a personal agenda of Ervin Salianji and several former candidates for MPs on the open lists in the general parliamentary elections of May 11.

Berisha said that the official DP structures in Durres abandoned him and further insinuated when he added that people who had worked for the SP had also participated in the Salijanj meeting.

But Ervin Salianji stated that at Wednesday's meeting with the DP branch in Durrës, there were about 500 people, including the leaders of the local branch.

"There were 500 people at the meeting yesterday, in Durrës, it was the DP structure. There was the branch president, the 2 vice presidents, the branch secretary. The most voted in the primaries were Ilir Alimehmeti, Ndrec Pjetri, Aulon Kalaja, Hysen Kadiu. I went to wake up and renew the DP.

The meeting in Durrës was with the DP structure, they are elected by vote. It was Dritan Burgia, Luan Hoti, Pëllumb Berisha, former MP, it was 80% of the groups and sections.

The president is in command there today, I have no prejudices, but there are also those who have received a lot of votes.

That's why the DP gets this number of votes...they are people who have sacrificed and have not gained anything. The DP should be formed by evaluating those who have contributed and received votes. I will listen to every concern. I have told Berisha and he says we will change, we will find a solution. I have spoken at every meeting of the Presidency. It became a brand because these people met in a cafe", said Salianji last night in a television interview.
