Taulant Balla orders socialist deputies to stay in Tirana, reason is a mystery

This Thursday's plenary session was held without the presence of the deputies of the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party, who continue to boycott the Assembly. The absence of the opposition meant that the planned interpellation between the deputy Jorida Tabaku and the Minister of Finance did not take place, while the session was dominated by discussions of the majority.

Meanwhile, the leader of the socialist group, Taulant Balla, has ordered socialist deputies not to leave Tirana even after the closing of the parliamentary session, as the possibility of holding a special session on July 27 is not ruled out.

The reason has not been officially announced, but it is rumored that this request may be related to European integration draft laws, or to possible changes in the government cabinet.

During today's session, which focused on discussions among majority MPs, Balla requested the accelerated review of the amendments to the tourism law, which foresee the suspension of construction works during the tourist season in tourist areas.

According to Balla, the measure aims to avoid noise near hotels and improve the quality of vacations for tourists.

On the other hand, Socialist MP Erion Braçe raised concerns about the relationship between farmers and collectors, calling for rapid intervention to protect agricultural producers.
