Joint meeting between the governments of Albania and Italy today, Rama: 16 agreements will be signed

Prime Minister Edi Rama has echoed the meeting between the Albanian and Italian governments that will take place later on Thursday in Rome.

While describing the joint meeting as another historic day in Albania's international relations, Rama adds that 16 agreements are expected to be signed during the meeting that will further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

"With pride for another historic day in Albania's international relations, the first joint meeting between the two governments, which takes place in Rome to pave the way for 16 new concrete cooperation agreements within the framework of the close strategic partnership with our precious western neighbor, I wish you a good day," Rama writes.

Italy and Albania hold their first intergovernmental summit in Rome today, a historic event that marks an important step in relations between the two countries.

The meeting will be held at Villa Pamphili, starting at 11:30, and will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.

This is the first summit of this level between the governments of the two countries, which aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Rome and Tirana, with a focus on three main areas: defense, industry and immigration.
