The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, chaired a special staff meeting, with the leadership team and Albania's ambassadors to the Middle East, who are continuously following developments in the region.
The focus of the discussions was the situation of Albanian citizens facing the security situation in that region.
In a reaction on the social network X, Hoxha stressed that "the security and well-being of Albanian citizens remain an absolute priority."

Diplomatic missions, according to the Foreign Minister, are in direct contact with Albanian citizens and are close to anyone who needs information, advice and assistance.
"On the first day of work, the first file on my desk: Update on the security situation in the Middle East countries, as a result of the military escalation in the region, and in particular, detailed analysis of the problems and needs of Albanian citizens, residents or with temporary residence in these countries.
The special headquarters established in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as the institution's management team, in close coordination with our diplomatic missions in the region, which I thank for their professional engagement and dedication, are continuously following every development with maximum attention, being in direct contact with our citizens and close to anyone who needs information, advice and assistance.
The Foreign Service structures, in cooperation with other institutions, are fully prepared to take any necessary measures depending on developments in the affected countries and to respond appropriately to any situation.
