Switzerland's government works differently from other European countries. 7 ministers who lead large government cabinets and belong to 4 parties co-govern the country through coalitions and agreements.
Of these 7 ministers, one of them is also elected as the President of the country while simultaneously continuing to exercise his function, explains the Swiss ambassador to Albania, Ruth Huber for "Rudina".
Currently, the President of Switzerland is Alain Berset. As some photos of him appeared during his visit to Albania in 2022, he is seen walking around the capital.
Huber says that the current President is a very modest person.
"He is a very informal person. He goes out, talks to people, walks everywhere. There is our Home Secretary as well, but there are also some pictures in New York, in the United States of him sitting on the pavement in the street taking notes, thinking about his speech. A very simple and informal person," said Ruth Huber.
