The meeting of the Council of Mandates in the Presidency of the Assembly has resumed after a few minutes' interruption, where it is expected to decide whether or not the mandate of deputy Arben Ahmetaj will be removed, to pave the way for his arrest by SPAK.

After the fierce debates with the deputy of Majora Ermonela Felaj, Gazment Bardhi addressed a question to SPAK prosecutors if they know about the whereabouts of Ahmetaj.

"Do you have any information on where Ahmetaj is at this moment, is he in Albania, has he not fled to Canada? Do you have any information about this?", Bardhi addressed SPAK prosecutors, Altin Dumani and Enkelejda Millonai.

But the head of SPAK and prosecutor Millonai have stated that they have no information about Ahmetaj's whereabouts. Currently, they are submitting their request for the removal of Ahmetaj's mandate.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj is reported to have left for Greece on Friday, but it is possible that he may have traveled to another country from there.

Ahmetaj is accused by SPAK of passive corruption, money laundering and concealment of income.
