Berisha's last flirtation with Ahmetaj advises him to cooperate with
Sali Berisha / Arben Ahmetaj

Sali Berisha commented in a low voice on the request submitted by SPAK to the Assembly for the arrest of Arben Ahmetaj. The former Prime Minister released the last flirtation with the former Minister of Finance at the conference, advising him, according to Berisha, to become an associate of justice.

SPAK has charged Arben Ahmetaj with three criminal offences, including corruption. Investigations have started on the basis of denunciation 277 fraction 1, which is related to the Elbasan incinerator file.

Among the evidence that SPAK has are hotel payment receipts from Klodian Zoto for Arben Ahmetaj, while special prosecutors are also investigating the source of income for the purchase of a villa in Hamallaj by Ahmetaj's partner.

Although SPAK accuses Ahmetaj of corruption in at least six cases, Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, who claim to be the real opposition of the country, have tried to differentiate him from the Elbasan incinerator file.

Monika Kryemadhi publicly defended him, saying that Ahmetaj did not sign for the Elbasan incinerator. Kryemadhi's statement was neither political naivety nor truth. It turns out that Ahmetaj signed on April 14 as Minister of Entrepreneurship.

The real reason that Berisha, Meta and Kryemadhi have been protecting Ahmetaj for two years is related to the fact that he was their man and that he is suspected of handing over to LSI the documentation on the procedures for granting the concession for the Elbasan incinerator.

Regardless of the testimony given by the members of the bid evaluation committee, where it turns out that Ahmetaj indirectly played a decisive role in determining the illegal tendering procedure, Berisha, Meta and Kryemadhi defended him.

They also defended him by attacking businessmen and people who are anonymous to the public for benefits from incinerator concessions, not seeing the elephant in the room, which in the case of incinerators is suspected to be Arben Ahmetaj.

This is the last service rendered to the former deputy prime minister by the opposition, which for two years has kept him as its pet, separating him from the file for which he is now accused and risks up to 15 years in prison.
