After the meeting of the Council of Ministers, it was Prime Minister Rama who issued a statement to the media and communicated the decision to raise the salary for all police officers, prison officers and firefighters.
"Today we made the decision that the State Police, the basic levels, i.e. all inspectors and middle level employees, will have a 7% salary increase. The highest supplement is for the base level 15%. The following supplement is for the secondary level. The same applies to the Guard of the Republic. We have a salary supplement for the prison police, fire brigade, public administration and not only for civil servants but also support workers.
All decisions take effect immediately. So the future salary that all categories will receive will be increased according to the determinations in the relevant decisions. The same thing will happen with pensions, which are, as we said, re-indexed and we have an increase of 9.5% compared to 1 year ago. This will materialize in the pensions that will be received.
Women heads of families with 2 children have 2 times the economic assistance. "Also, for all seniors over 65 who are in the category of economic assistance, it is doubled so that the greater burden is more lightened," said Rama.
