The meeting of the Socialist Party Board has ended and in a statement to the media, Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed the changes within the party, one of which is the departure of Arben Ahmetaj from the leadership of the District of Vlora, leaving him without any political post.
Rama said that the SP has started work on the local elections and has now entered the second phase of the organization process.
"We have started work on the local elections and now we have entered the second phase of the organization process that we talked about today. This comes in a very extraordinary context because of the situation where the world, especially Europe, is. War inflation is a great force that has taken off affecting everyone but we have the duty to do everything possible to ease this pain without destroying the country's financial balances, part of this is constant communication. This was the essence of today's meeting," said Rama at the end of the meeting." said Rama.
Rama refused to talk about the reasons for Ahmetaj's departure, but they were reported by Vox News.al earlier, referring to sources within the SP.
"Were there changes in the leadership of the districts? They are changes that have no weight and do not change the public interest. Everyone has their positions. We have always done this, there is nothing new.
Ahmetaj was wrong? It doesn't matter that we get into names, we are all servants, where everyone has their role, this is a team where there are different roles and everyone does their role.
How will the selection be made for the candidates, with Primary? No thanks." Rama said.
