Prime Minister Edi Rama has won today the defamation lawsuit against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, regarding a post on social networks on October 23, 2018, where at that time he published the photo of a house in America for which he declared that he was in owned by the head of the Albanian government.

In response to Rama's lawsuit, Berisha would file a counterclaim within the same case. The court of Tirana has given today the right to Edi Rama, after the lawsuit filed by him, condemning Berisha for defamation. 

Judge Dritan Caka has taken the decision to drop Berisha's counterclaim and accept Rama's claim, asking Berisha for compensation of 1 million ALL and the obligation to refute the 2018 post on his Facebook page.

This decision finally refutes all the slanders of Sali Berisha against Edi Rama because his counterclaim, rejected today by the court, was related to the statements he made in public on a trial of Edi Rama for the paternity of his son.
