Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a video message on his Facebook page, said that from January 1st of next year the minimum wage will go to 500 euros, while by the end of the mandate it will increase to 700 euros.

Rama emphasized that pensioners will receive the greatest attention in next year's budget, with an additional 100 million euros, a figure that will double in 2027 and beyond.

" In the 2026 draft budget, which has just gone to Parliament, the lion's share is undoubtedly taken by pensioners. They start next year with an additional 100 million euros, in addition to indexation. In 2027, we double the addition: 200 million euros, plus indexation 45 million euros. In 2028, we triple it: 300 million euros, plus indexation 46 million euros. In 2029, we quadruple it, plus indexation, and in 2030, we quintuple it, plus indexation.

So, there are about 1.7 billion euros more that pensioners will receive, a considerable amount from our investment during this fourth governing mandate.

From January 1, 2023, the minimum wage will increase for 307,850 employees, who will receive the promised amount of 500 euros, while in this mandate the minimum wage will reach 700 euros. As we promised, the government will subsidize with 90 million euros and the additional costs for 9 months in the private sector.

This is me and these are us; we say what we do and we do what we say. And those 83 mandates that you gave us to govern Albania in our fourth mandate, to seat it at the European Union table as an equal among equals, are 83 more reasons than until yesterday to not sleep, to work without rest and to return to you with all the passion, will, perseverance, patience and love possible, to honor the extraordinary trust you gave us, an extraordinary privilege , "said Rama.
