Prime Minister Edi Rama does not back down from his strange idea to establish a sovereign state of the Bektashi in the middle of Tirana.

In a post on social networks, a day after he announced his plan to the United Nations, Rama says that the book by the albanologist Robert Elsie shows the reasons that, according to him, give the Bektash people the right to a sovereign entity based in Tirana.

"A wonderful book for anyone interested in learning more about the unique history and culture of the Bektashi Order, a treasure that Albania has to offer in the service of peace, tolerance and humanity as a sovereign spiritual entity based in Tirana, where The Bektashi World Headquarters was created a long time ago and was then revived by the grace of the communist atheistic dictatorship", writes Rama.
