Prime Minister Edi Rama met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during the GLOBSEC 2024 forum taking place in Prague, Czech Republic.
The images of their meeting were shared by the Serbian presidency on social networks. Rama is seen as he meets Vucic and then eats sitting at his table.
This meeting between Rama and Vucic, although within the GlobSec forum, comes at a time when tensions between Serbia and Kosovo are at the highest levels, while relations between Albania and Kosovo are considered to be on the worst day.
Just a day earlier, Serbia reached a landmark agreement with France, both militaryly and symbolically, signing the purchase of 12 military aircraft from France.
French President Emmanuel Macron issued strong messages to Kosovo from Belgrade, even saying he will personally engage on some issues affecting Kosovo Serbs.
Ironically, Vucic says that the forum discussed the security of the region, to which Serbia is committed, though in reality, only a short time ago, Kosovo was provoked by a serious terrorist attack within its borders in the village of Banjska, and many of the perpetrators of that attack move freely to Serbia.
