The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted in outrage after the majority rejected two opposition requests at the meeting of the Conference of Speakers.

Bardhi says it is not called parliamentarianism when the opposition's demands are rejected out of political hatred.

"If the opposition's demands are rejected out of political hatred, this is not parliamentarianism. Therefore, I ask you, Speaker, what is the role of MPs, when you accept neither investigative committees, nor interpellations, nor motions with debate, nor amendments, nor laws?"

What is the role of the opposition? To refresh you?

Tell us what our role is. Because you tell us "let's cooperate" and "let's be constructive," but when we do that, you tear everything down.

"You, Speaker, are the guarantor of the functioning of the Assembly. You read us a speech that touched us, while today I do not find a single issue that you, as Speaker, have defended for the opposition," said Bardhi.
