The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that the government-controlled media want to keep Rama's "mafia regime" afloat at all costs.

Speaking at the 'Poltore' in front of the Prime Minister's Office, Berisha said that the media is paid by Rama to distort reality. He said that in television debates, Tirana is talked about as if it were Prague or Paris.

"Today, the government-controlled media, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, spread lies and fabrications, with only one goal, to keep Edi Rama's mafia regime afloat at all costs, as he feeds them with the money he steals from citizens. You follow the debates in their studios, they talk about Tirana and Albania as if they were talking about Prague, Berlin, Paris or countries and capitals where democracy is untouchable.

In this way, they equate Edi Rama, the most dangerous mafia boss in the Balkans, with free people, with free leaders, with governments that respect the will of the citizens, with governments that are replaced by the vote of the citizens. If you follow them, they have a standard phrase that Edi Rama's office dictates to them. In a democratic system, they say, at a time when this system does not exist in Albania, but they want to legitimize Edi Rama's criminal power at all costs.

"In a democratic system, they say, lackeys and jackals of the criminal regime, try to convince Albanians that democracy is a regime that steals the vote of citizens with drug cartels, steals it with billions of euros, buys it, steals it in all ways and turns the elections into a farce. In a democratic system, they say, lackeys and jackals who feed like leeches on your taxes, want to cover up Edi Rama's terrible thefts. They want to cover up the great contempt he has for the citizens,"  Berisha said.
